NT (Nurse Technician)



COURSE OBJECTIVE:

AMHS Nurse Technician program is a secondary ladder towards the LVN program.  This incorporates four (4) certifications of Continuing Education for CNA namely: Acute Care Aide, RNA, Basic Phlebotomy, and EKG Technician Certificates. This is a total of 177 instructional hours will provide training for a nurse aide focusing on acute care setting.  Integrated throughout the program, are audio-visual techniques of teaching, didactic and actual applications of skills, as well as through communication process providing for continuity of evaluation and counter checking of knowledge learned and yet to be taught.  Case Study and problem-solving approach will be applied for every subject curriculum.  This is geared to the development of the student in terms of organization, expression, and identification of problems and principles, management, and even research abilities.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Be at least 17 years of age
  • Have successfully completed the Phlebotomy Tech. I certification
  • Pass the Entrance Examination of the school or ACT (Ability to Benefit Test)
  • Current holder of a CNA certificate
  • Health Clearance

Training Period:

    Classes vary from weekdays to weekends for a total of  160 hours.
